MISSION & AIMS

MOTIVATE

ENCOURAGE

SUCCEED

The Alexanders vision is to provide a British School offering an
international
curriculum in the heart of Walvis Bay.

Our aim is to work together as educational professionals, with parents and other

professional agencies so that together we can:

motivate each child to discover their previously unlocked potential;

encourage each child to discover their unique gifts and talents; and

Work together as a team to help a child achieve both now and in the future.

Our school is noted for the strength of its pastoral care and communication with parents. We encourage a strong sense of community, embrace diversity and champion tolerance among our eclectic, international student body. We achieve this by respecting the right to a faith or belief - including atheism, non-theism and humanism as beliefs - and celebrating a variety of approaches to family life.
We also achieve this with class sizes that allow teachers to be attentive to all our learners. Being not too large but not too small helps children to settle in quickly and feel comfortable as they transition from school to school or into a new country. It also helps Alexanders to form a relationship with parents and guardians.

Named after Alexander Graham Bell, Alexander Fleming, Alexander Pope and many other world-changing Alexanders through-out mankind's history, our ambition is to provide every child with the skills to become their very own history-maker. Our hope is to provide the personal attention that all young people deserve through maintaining a low teacher to student ratio.  The objective of the school is to guide the individual into achieving his or her full potential whether this be in the academic or non-academic arena.

CORE VALUES

READY

RESPONSIBLE

RESPECTFUL

We understand that parents are seeking out the best schools for their children.
It is important for parents to feel comfortable with our school’s approach to discipline, respect, tolerance and inclusivity.
At Alexanders, our strong core values include honesty, respect, equality and a tolerance and acceptance of others, and the positive relationships between the staff team and the children are built on these important values.  These core values are built on our 'Three Rs' principle of ready, responsible and respectful:
* be ready to work, be ready to learn and be ready to be the best person you can be each and every day;
* be responsible for your own work, be responsible for your own attitude and be responsible for your own actions; and
* be respectful always and tolerant of differences.
