Homework Club & Afternoon Clubs
Registration forms for Homework Club and Afternoon Clubs will be sent home next week. Homework Club and Afternoon Clubs will start from Monday, 31st January 2022. Should you wish your child to stay at school over the lunchtime period - between 13:10 and 14:15 - then please make a clear and specific arrangement with the school office. We cannot accommodate many children and places will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis.

Dear Year 5 & Year 6 Parents,
UKS2 Classrooms
Unfortunately, the additional classrooms under construction at our new building in Meersig have been delayed. To ensure that the Year 6s have enough space - and only whilst the building work is completed - the Year 6s will be moving to a separate location for a period of two to four weeks.
We have found well-suited classrooms at the NG Kerk in Meersig. This is the building where we have had our previous Horrible Histories Concerts. The church is located on the corner of Tecomaria Street and Munganda Street in Fairways. It is located close to both the primary and secondary school buildings.
On Monday morning, the children can be dropped at the Primary School Building at 21 Peter Dixon Street as normal. Mrs James and Ms Roxanne shall host a welcome assembly for the primary school children. After break, we shall transport the children to the NG Kerk building. On Monday afternoon, at 13:05, we kindly ask that you collect your Year 6 children directly from NG Kerk Meersig.
From Tuesday, we kindly ask that your Year 6 be dropped off and collected directly at the NG Kerk Church building. Start and end of day remain in line with the rest of the primary school: no later than 07:30 start and 13:05 collection.
Ms Anel and Mr Blake (and possible Coach Zanne also…) will be waiting for the children as they arrive at the church building each morning and will be at the building until the last child has been collected. Children will be supervised at all times at the building - just as they would be at school and taken to Meersig park to join the Year 7 and Year 8s for break.

Happy New Academic Year 2022!
I truly hope you had a peaceful, restful and joyous festive season.
All lessons for all year groups begin on Monday, 17th January.
*Primary School* children (Year 0 to Year 6) should arrive no later than 07:30 for registration and carpet / circle time.
The day will end at 13:05 for children in Key Stage Two (Year 3 to Year 6) but at 13:10 for children in Key Stage One (Year 0 and Year 2).
Secondary School students (Year 7 to Year 11) should arrive no later than 07:40 for registration. The day will end at 13:00.
Sixth Form students (Years 12 & 13) may arrive and leave the building as desired and depending on their personal lesson timetable.
There was some confusion regarding the first day of school for 2022 and I would like to take this opportunity to remind all parents that dates of holidays and upcoming events are available on our website at www.alexanders-school.com. I have also posted another copy of there Term Dates 2022 below. However, this can also be downloaded from our website.
